In 2016/2017, I led the organisation of a week-long art and technology event on the ethics and politics of technology. Inter/sections 2017 was funded by the Media and Arts Technology programme at QMUL, my centre for doctoral training. Inter/sections 2017 was designed, curated and run by a team of talented PhD candidates from a wide variety of arts/tech backgrounds. Much of the work exhibited was created by MAT artists.

I co-curated and managed themed live immersive events as a founder of The Effort Collective (2009—2014).

The Effort Collective produced immersive live events, theatre shows, short films and music. The curated live events, Bitesize, Shotgun Wedding, Game Night and Fight Night, featured a mix of existing artwork and bespoke collaborations. The pieces were playful and interactive, ranging from poetry to performance art to games to installations. A list of guest artists can be found here.

Event bumpers were created by Abel Kohen, one of the four founders of The Effort Collective.

The Effort Collective created two installations for the location-based exhibition Traces at Holdrons in 2014. Inspired by research into the history of the disused 1930s arcade, we used found objects and archival media to evoke the history of Peckham and arcade itself.
