I research systems that support interaction, expressivity and connection using multidisciplinary techniques.

Over the last decade I’ve contributed to cultural analytics and digital humanities projects in both academia (Columbia University, University College London, King’s College London, University of the Arts London) and industry (BBC R&D, Snap Inc, IJAD Dance Company).

I’m interested in finding the empirical roots of sensed social experiences, particularly in live performance. I aim to shed light on the mechanisms behind cultural and social felt senses that are hard to describe — how a comedian finds their rhythm in a show, how the body responds to music, why certain actor placements in virtual reality feel more "right" than others, how and when comedy audiences laugh together.
